Summer 2022 Aurora Wild will be offering bouquet subscriptions in the form of a CSA membership!
What's a CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is defined by the USDA as "a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community's farm."
CSA-Style Bouquet Subscriptions at Aurora Wild
At Aurora Wild, purchasing a CSA membership means that you invest in us by pre-purchasing a share of our flowers before they bloom, and together we share in the risks and rewards of the upcoming season.
The Risks - Sometimes the world and the weather do not come together to make flowers to bloom. This is always a thing in the back of my mind. Will a swarm of resurrected Rocky Mountain locusts descend from above and ravage my crops? Will an army of pocket gophers consume their roots from below? In all likelihood, if something takes down my crops it will be hail, heat, flood. I do everything I can to mitigate those possibilities, but should the worst happen and my crops fail, by becoming a member of my CSA you agree to support me by sharing that in that loss with me.
The Rewards - When the world, the weather, and the farmer work hard, more often than not beautiful things happen. As a member of my CSA the support you offer me is repaid with the best and brightest of my blooms, in the form of a hand-tied, much-fussed-over, farm fresh bouquet picked-up or delivered once a week. As my business develops, CSA members are also at the top of the list for perks, bonuses, and new releases.
Additionally, the influx from CSAs helps offset the yearly cost of seeds and supplies, gets invested into equipment that allows me to make my one-woman-farm possible, and generally helps keep everything running tickety-boo in times when there's not many sources of income available.
