I am evolving a flower business in Alberta, Canada, discovering some of that opportunity in the supply chain crisis.
I am Aurora, I am wild by virtue of my free-range nature, and Aurora Wild is the accidental flower farm that happened when I thought I would make a few bucks on the side gathering wildflowers on my parents property. Gathering wildflowers didn't work out like I planned, but I discovered my passion for growing things had hitherto undiscovered oomph behind it. Now I'm every day I wake up to stacks on stacks of baby snapdragons, sweet peas, and poppies that I cannot wait to share with you!
If you're looking to get your hands on some of my local, sustainably grown, specialty cut flowers there's a few ways you can do that, though at the moment all of them start with following me on Facebook, Instagram, or signing up for my newsletter. The links to all of those things can be found below. Here are some of the ways Aurora Wild will be offering flowers this year:
CSA (a.k.a. a Bouquet Subscription) - Aurora Wild's CSA or Weekly Bouquet Subscription is the best way to guarantee you or your loved ones get the freshest flowers I have to offer. Each bouquet will be hand tied and available for pickup from a convenient TBD location on 124th street. You can buy a full season subscription or choose to receive bouquets in July, August, or September.
Farmers Market(s) - I'm currently in the process of applying for several farmers markets, where I'll be loaded up with fresh cut blooms and available to chat in person about all your flower dreams. Check back on my website, subscribe to my newsletter, or follow me on social media to find out which farmers markets I'll be at and when!
Online - Shop for exactly the flowers you want from the safety of... wherever you want! I'll be updating the website at the beginning of each week with what's currently blooming for you to peruse. Flowers purchased online will be harvested to order to help reduce waste and will be available for pick up weekly at a designated location TBD.
